Matt J. Goren, PhD

Matt is a professor in the financial planning program at UGA. When out of the classroom, Matt also pro-bono, one-on-one financial advising with the Aspire Clinic and works with Discovering Money Solutions to bring financial literacy members of the Athens community.

Michael G. Thomas, Jr., AFC

Michael is a Ph.D. student in the UGA financial planning program. He co-created two financial literacy programs, Money Dawgs (children) and Discovering Money Solutions (adults). His calling is to use financial coaching/counseling to serve the underserved.

Garrett W. Burke
Audio Engineer
Garrett W. Burke is a percussionist, audio technician, and event specialist. Garrett received his Bachelor’s degree in Production Studies of Performing Arts from Clemson University, where he also managed the student-run radio station. He now enjoys his time in Athens performing and recording music and being a member of the town’s vibrant music scene.

Chris Shupe
Producer
Chris is the Program Director at WUGA and the host of Morning Edition. In addition to being a local celebrity and former Elvis impersonator, Chris records and produces the show.
